I would suggest that you look for something that is all on one level after entering. We chose a travel trailer for that reason but some choose a toy hauler(non-fifth wheel). For what you think that you want in your RV, I think that I would look at an older diesel pusher and install a lift to accommodate your wife's issues. You can also get some ideas from units advertised on this site http://www.rvproperty.com/index.htm. I would also suggest looking at what Startracks Custom Lifts have to offer you. I have no idea what your wife's issues are today but I would suggest that situations can change rather quickly as we age so keep that in mind when making your decisions.
