Trying to plan something for our 2 week vacation in August, i started thinking seriously about yellowstone and area. My wife thinks our biy will be a bit to young for the area, which i didnt consider...

I with the crowd that says no for safety. Too many places where death is 2 feet off the trail in an inviting puddle of water.
What about the Smokies? Still an outside vacation but short hikes you could do with a 20 month old, streams to wade in, cool things for kid to look at and do at night in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. I didn't pull out a map but probably in range?
