Every time I have been stopped by an LEO I was in the wrong........some gave me a ticket, some chastised me, some did both. ALL treated me fairly.
Might have to do with the fact that I treated them with respect, didn't get an attitude and accepted the fact that I was in the wrong and had been caught.
X2, those men/women have a tough job and I don't want to make it harder. Always been treated fairly and promptly ticketed. My bad.
I had one apologize profusely - at least 20 times in a 10 minute span - I felt a bit sorry for him. He had gotten the job of policing a stretch of road where folks were always speeding (me included) and I'm sure by the time he stopped me, that he had spent several hours of attitude. I told him no apology necessary, I was speeding and he caught me. He did seem surprised that I wasn't upset with him.
