Different states have different vehicle laws. Texas has the "move over or slow down" law where if a police car is pulled over with the lights on, if traffic doesn't go 20 miles under the posted limit in the right lane, it can be a $2000 fine. It is always good to ask and check around. One surprise that I found in CA by reading is that they disallow right turns on red and U-turns. Here in Texas, they are allowed, so it is always good to find that info out firsthand. Ignorance isn't an excuse.
Just what are you reading? You keep getting some really bad info. Right turns are allowed on a red. Must stop first and be safe to do so but is allowed. U-turns are allowed unless posted that it is not.
