Specifications are indeed subject to change and so is their ad still showing disconnect after purchase. If they left off an air condictioner or water pump would you find that ok.
No, I would not, but then again I would have discovered something that important missing during the PDI and before any money changes hands. You admitted that you missed it during the PDI.
If there were something missing, I would give the dealer a chance to correct the situation.
I certainly would not install the missing item on my own and then expect reimbursement. You did not give the dealer, or Winnebago, a chance to correct the situation if there was any liability, which I doubt.
It is obvious that we will not agree and that is O.K. I wish you luck in your situation.
