This is our 5th. winter in south-TX (4th. in Rockport). This winter was the worst of the 5, but it was bad everywhere!! We did not see any freezing temps here (maybe an hour or two here and there). The problem was the constant cold fronts moving in for 2 or 3 days at a time. Which makes it feel much colder after 60's and low 70's. These fronts also adversely affected the normal good fishing:( We love south-TX and the friendly texans. In fact we love it so much that we have decided to leave our trailer here and return sometime late summer. Prior to wintering here we spent 10 years wintering in south FL.
