As it stands I emptied the water heater then filled and dumped a few times to flush it out then closed off the heater valves. I completely drained the fresh tank, the grey and black tanks. Hooked up a hose to the water pump inserted into 100% RV anti-Freeze. In turn, opened up each of the water faucets (including outside and shower) until I got pink running. (Naturally, the pink went into the drains.)
So as it stands, all of the lines, valves, traps, and toilet bowl have pink, and there should be a small amount in the grey and black tanks.
BUT I have read about a guy who said he had a "pink ice-cube" in his dump valve, so I thought it might be better to just leave the dump valves open to drain all of the pink.
Of course, all of this goes against the idea of NEVER letting your black tank dry out.
Did I go about this the right way? I am seriously considering going and opening the dump valves to avoid the "pink ice-cube" possibility.
