winterizing issue with voltage 3305

My 2014 Voltage has a bypass system for winterizing. Put the short hose in the jug of antifreeze but the pump will not pull fluid at all.
Same thing last year and I had to dump 3 gallons right into the fresh tank to allow pump to pump to send antifreeze to the taps.
Any ideas?
  • Blew lines yesterday with 40 psi. Thinking of trying to get some antifreeze to the pump via the attached hose with a small funnel to prime it. taps were opened.
  • Bypass and winterize may refer to the water heater (at least one of them). To suck the antifreeze from the jug, you need to have the connection from the pump suction to the water tank shut (and, of course, the connection from it to the jug open).

If you don't have a tap somewhere open when you're trying to get the antifreeze from the jug it also is unlikely to work.

If you have access to an air compressor, you may want to consider blowing the water out of the lines rather than displacing it with antifreeze, particularly if you can't get the suction from the jug to work.
  • Mine does have two levers for bypass and winterize . Also has the female spigot to run a length of hose from the antifreeze jug and it is labeled winterize. It is not pulling the antifreeze so maybe only sucking air from the fresh tank?
  • There should be a valve you have to open or close to get the pump to draw in the rv antifreeze. On my rv, the configuration of the valves says, "winterize". Im not sure of your rv, but it should have a valve somewhere. It might be near the pump on one of the input lines. You would think it would be in sight of the antifreeze intake line.
