Remote Switch
Looks like this might be what you're looking for.
I'd be interested in your final solution so be sure to post back here whatever you end up with.
it would appear I read wrong, seems you push a button and it will run for the prescribed time (10-60 sec).
I found another one on their site, doesn't have a delay:
Other one
I emailed them asking about both, will keep you posted.
thanks all!
mikey
edit: course now that I think about it one MIGHT want a run delay, that way your not pushing the transmitter and having to hold it while the motor runs, might wear out the transmitter battery quicker. hmmmm... lets see what they say
I didn't notice the delay thing till after I posted it. The other one that you posted should do the job. - RuralgasExplorerHi FSAD:
You may want to try this unit Heavy Duty 30A DC 12V 24V Motor Remote Controller Transmitter. I got this off eBay for around $67.00. The seller was carymart-usa01. Have a look if you want.
I wired it in my 5th wheel and it works great. One button for going up and one for going down. No more standing having to hold the manual button. Has very good range for my purpose. My wife loves it.
I wired it in so if I ever have a problem with the remote unit I can just switch a couple connections and go back to using my manual system.
Just my info and idea. Good luck.
Garry - FSADExplorerI emailed RFControls about whether the batteries were included in the remotes, they replied yes. the email was from carymart (previous post mentions them). Prolly one in the same.
I still need to look at my supply wires and also email BuyersProducts to see if they know the amp draw, but like I said, judging by the size of them, can't be too high.
I'll keep you posted. - FSADExplorerBuyers Products said, "up to 50A".
:h !!!?!?!?
So I replyed to him asking why there were tiny little wires that come off of it and go to my battery? - hawkeye-08Explorer III

I see none offered for sale on the internet........probably have to call them and ask for a distributor........ - 96Bounder30EExplorer IIThis one looks promising too........and for only $22.99 might be worth a try.....

No mention of max amps on that one.
I think we're at a standstill till we figure out how many amps we really need to prep for.
Like I said, my OE wires are not that huge (still need to physically check them), and take it from there... - FSADExplorer

This one just looks like a wiring nightmare, and, I'm guessing, overkill? Since we can't seem to find a price, dunno.
I think I'll check my wires, and probably end up with the one from RFControls.
This one at 5A:
5 amp unit
or their 30A unit:
30 Amp - westendExplorerThere should be a fuse on your tongue jack. Size the switch according to that fuse rating.
