edit: course now that I think about it one MIGHT want a run delay, that way your not pushing the transmitter and having to hold it while the motor runs, might wear out the transmitter battery quicker. hmmmm... lets see what they say

I didn't notice the delay thing till after I posted it. The other one that you posted should do the job.

The Alta remote system linked to by 96Bounder is exactly what you need. It has the wireless function, momentary switching, and can handle the amp load of the jack.

I was looking at my supply wires for the jack, they cant be TOO heavy duty, they are about 14 gage looking. and that's what came with it! it is a pretty large gear reduction in there (noticing the last time I greased the gears), so perhaps amp draw isn't much.

I'll email Buyers products (the jack mfg) and see....

that Alta control looks really overkill...

The HF winch control is just control voltage. You would need to add a pair of contactors to handle the load of the jack motor.

"FSAD"......I like your idea. You may have a marketable item. My kids both have trailer with an electric tongue jack. I could picture and assembly with both a manual and remote switch in case of failure.

"DougE".....I think I'll stop by Harbor Freight and grab one. It should be easy to plug into the kid's jacks.

If you're handy with electrical I bet you could adapt this remote winch control from Harbor Freight.
