I have separate turn & brake signals on the car. The Tech that wired the car just hooked the turn signal line from the MH to the brake lights on the car works great.
The bullet proof way is to install diodes in the car to isolate the 2 electrical systems or to install separate bulbs in the car. It's common to run 4 wires for the toad wiring. You'll have ground, running lights, left turn/brake and right turn/brake.
If the MH has separate turn and brake lights then buy the simple adapter to combine them for the toad wiring.
