- 12thgenusaExplorerI see Barrow, AK is currently 15 degrees warmer than it is here in Loveland, CO.
- seleExplorerit is great to visit but I still like snow and deep woods in winter. There will be a time but it ain't here yet when warm temps in winter will be good. Being retired and waiting on the wife. So I get out and enjoy all I can.
- westendExplorerNo open water in Shorewood, tonight. Currently, -10f. heading for -24f in the morning. -24f is nearly booze-freezing temps. Of course, there's ways around that, lol.

Gbopp and Boon Docker need to head NE. Currently visiting family for the holidays, this morning(Sat) is at -35c with a small wind chill making it feel like -42c. Nit the coldest i've felt or seen up here but iuts getting there. Usually get a real cold snap right around New Year's Eve.
We have been hitting < -30C most nights here for a couple weeks up until last night (-27C)
I know what you mean. Just spent a week outside Edmonton. One night was outside waiting for the CP Holiday train in Wetaskiwin in -27c weather. - CroweExplorerDespite sub-zero air temp with -20 wind chills yesterday and 6 inches of snow today, I'm happy right where I am. I'm near family and this time of year especially that's very important to me.
- lizzieExplorerWe have had a beautiful fall in the FL Panhandle. Since we live on a river we have lots of hardwoods that turn red and yellow and gold. Then, the cypress trees start turning a deep orange and look stunning against the white sandbars. It has been very dry this year so we haven't had any bugs or humidity since October. Our days are in the low 70's, evenings in the 50's. Last year we didn't get into the 30's (at night) until well into January. Yes, Yellow Fly season will begin in May but we should be on the road by then. Come on down, we have room for you. lizzie

You can have your warm winters. I been there in your hot muggy summers. I'll take my snow and cold we have now for my nice summers. I guess there's a reason Oregon keeps winning the Trailer Life best state to camp in readers choice award every year.
4 seasons rock.
I think the OP was talking about winter in Florida, not summer. Winter weather in Florida is ideal with moderate temps and humidity. - RPreebExplorerNope. I've been to Florida, lived in the Bahamas for 2 years. I LIKE seasons, and I missed them terribly. Bahamas have only 2 seasons, dry (winter - about 4 months of non AC temps and lower humidity) and hurricane (spring and summer - sucks big time - hot, humid, and for a Rocky Mountain Western boy like me, ultimately unbearable - my wife disagrees :R ). We endured 2 hurricanes, Irene and Sandy, and got out a year ahead of Joaquin.
I'll take an occasional cold snap over that anytime.
