Good luck with that I have towed mine 69 times for a total of 12,392 miles and have zero problems
Per the owners manual there are several reasons the electric brake can come on while getting ready to tow see page 456 of the owners manual
For automatic transmissions, the park brake will automatically
engage if all of the following conditions are
met:
• The vehicle is at a standstill
• There is no attempt to depress the brake pedal or
accelerator pedal
• The seat belt is unbuckled
• The driver door is open
Seems to me the setup is wrong in your tow package
