Had ours for two years being towed. Never had that problem. But all my connection have been reinforced ( drop hitch 6") using Blue Ox hitch immobilizers ( at drop hitch connection to MH & tow bar to drop hitch. There was tremendous slop without this fix. Plus the reciever attached to the motorhome gets retorqued twice a year when towing ( a few were slightly loose from time to time.
I'm not saying you don't have a problem, but there are way more people towing without issues with the Cherokee. Way to many other variables IMHO to blame the Cherokee. Any movement back there at the connections can be amplified with the long connections to the MH.
All we here is your problem but without us actually seeing your setup in person anything else is speculation. Including your complaints on the Cherokee.
