Worried about "break ins"
We live in the woods with nobody around. Every time we leave the house to go on a trip I worry about some meth head breaking in, so I ordered a roll of this to put on the doors when we leave.

Lock your really valuable stuff in a safe. Insure the contents of your house. Have good locks on doors and windows. Have someone collect newspapers and mail (don't build up a pile outdoors). Hire someone to cut the lawn and pick up unusual garbage/sticks/etc. Relax on your trips.
As the guy from WI states, living in the country is getting away from crime. I live in exurbia and don't lock my windows or doors. I have thousands of $$$ of tools and machines that could be taken. My neighbor watches out for me and I for him. I'm insured and don't lose any sleep. I have guns, knives, and handcuffs. I'll probably never need them.
