My trusty, dusty, 20 year old 250 Watt Prowatt inverter. It will run the TV and DV D Player, charges all of the AC toys (and that is not a small number), and has probably eliminated hundreds of hours of generator run time. Paid less than $100 for it back in 1994. :B
The Harbor Freight Splitter and the 4# hammer that drives it. Makes firewood out of large hunks/rounds that others discard. Both for about $20.
The Blue Tooth capable wireless speaker. Music where we want it that disturbs no one else. Takes a feed from any Blue Tooth device as well as a cable feed from any music source. they go for around $69 at Target, Radio Shack Amazon, you name it.
Probably should have been at the top of my list but you got to get a Scan Gauge! Paid for ($139 on Amazon), in just a few months with the fuel savings alone. Gives me transmission fluid temps and dozens of other read outs and is a built in code reader.
My Pressure Cooker. if you don't have one you need one. Safe, fast, efficient, healthy, delicious and cost effective cooking just like mom did. (no, they don't blow up anymore).
The full size Mag Lite (flashlight), ask any cop, they know. When you really want to see what is out there this is the bulletproof one to get the job done (and they last about 20 years).
I am sure I'll think of other items but these are no brainers, got to have, reliable, go to, use on every trip items. As always.... Opinions and YMMV. :C
