Everybody claims the cost of fuel will not change their travel plans. I wonder how many of the same people whine about the store clerk getting a pay raise causes prices to go up? Do you look at corporations raising prices at the same time as they have record profits, call it inflation?
Fuel price increase means the transportation puts a Fuel Sur Charge on everything that moves. That FSC is a tax on everything, but goes to oil companies with no chance to help population.
I saw another thread today discussing sacrifice made to take 1 island in the last world war. Nobody mentions the fact that everybody in that generation made sacrifices to stop authoritarianism.
