Would Like Some Opinions on This Ad for Hi-Lo?

2000 Hi-Lo

I would have to drive 4 hours to see this one. Man said when he bought it the roof leaked (previous owner lied to him) and he had to replace the roof and upper walls. The fridge is a dorm-type fridge. Everything else works but the water pump but if you hook up to CG water it's fine.

Hydraulics work, no leaks for the three years he's had it, moving so he's selling everything: house, boat, and RV. Can't find it on NADA since he read me off the title 22', 3700#, no model number. He's willing to take $5K for it.

Drive to see it or no? I have the cash.
  • According to NADA Guides, a 2002 Hi-Lo at 22 feet has an average retail of $5,080 for the Bronze, Silver and Gold plan. The low retail value is $4,220 which is more in line with what this unit is worth. The repaired roof and walls would drive it more towards the lower end of the retail value.

I looked at the pictures, and it looks like there might be a crack in the shower pan where it meets the wall. The picture is not real clear, but it that is the case, it could mean more water damage. I'm also curious why the shower head is laying on the floor. Does it have a mounting location?

I would NOT pay $5K for this rig.
