Location is the biggest draw back to the OP's plan. If he had a couple of FHU sites with no amenities that were close to an attraction, he would have no problem renting them.
However move those sites an hour away from everything and the idea becomes a losing proposition.
I repeat, there is little demand for FHU sites with no amenities,no attractions in the middle of nowhere.
