Would you mount a cargo rack in front of the rig?

I got my hands on a new hitch cargo rack that i almost have no use for as i already have one installed in the rear. An idea had occured to me that maybe i should mount this on the front bumper to carry more useless things. I havent really thought the idea through but recall seeing some other fellas having a similar setup. My major concern ofcourse is how it will affect the cooling capability. Bikes i suppose are alright but some large ice chests or something similar in size would choke the radiator wouldn't it? Please feel free to chime in. thanks in advance.

Wow really? I would like to see a picture of that. I have been looking at the Cricket for some time but have not been able to see one in person, only pictures and videos.

Being tall I just want to see if I fit and putting it in front would work so I can have the rear receiver for my bike rack or a toad.
Post a pic if you can, thanks.
  • I've carried the box in my sig on two trucks. It works well for me.

  • I've seen it done before. I say go ahead and mount it. Make it so it's removable and put it on when you have a need for it. When using it for cargo, just make sure your lights and turn signals are not obstructed either.
