Wrangler set up to tow

Question

We are purchasing our first jeep....2010 Wrangler Sport JK, two door, soft top....we already have a Blue Ox tow bar, brake buddy and wireless lights we use on our Colorado.  We are questioning if we should get an aftermarket bumper or Blue Ox base plate for the Wrangler.  Looking for suggestions.

How will you be using your Jeep? Pure pavement or some off-roading?

Y-guy, most will be pavemen, unless its a hard surface road to a campground....but, 70 yr old hubby is a kid at heart.  He had jeeps in the past when he was younger.

I have done both and both work and can be done for about the same money, usually just a touch more for the bumper. Base plates = functional and maintains stock lookBumper = functional + cool looking
