Wrecks

I have traveled many miles in 7 decades. Have only seen 3 RV wrecks. But on Monday I39 south of Rockford Il a Nothbound TT blocked both lanes from grass to grass. Was on it’s right side. Tow vehicle was free from TT. Tow was on drivers
side. Then today I74 mm47 in the work zone camper wrapped around light pole
with tow vehicle face traffic. Just can not figure what is going on.
  • If I am understanding the concept, you are reducing rolling resistance which creates heat build up on the tire caused by higher speeds by increasing tire pressure or reducing the weight load on the tire. I still wonder about rotational forces on the tires at higher speeds but can accept these steps as a way to mitigate the affects of higher speeds.

I am happy with my LT tires rated large enough for the GVWR of our 5er, and speed rated for 106 mph. Not that I will ever drive that fast, just reassurance.

All ST tires can be run at 75 if the rules are followed.

Now that right there is hilarious!
Ah, I see you're not familiar with the Tire and Rim Association Year Book, the "bible" of the tire industry. Your loss.

Yes, I know about that nonsense. I also know about tires being built by folks that don't give a rats petoot. When that cheap tire lets go, those Tire & Rim folks won't be riding with you.

I remember that Goodyear Marathon tires used that information about the tires made in USA, then China, then USA again, then China again before they scrapped the whole line due to quality issues. With that track record, it wouldn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling going 75 MPH and testing the limits. Not my loss, I avoid junk as much as I can.
