You are both wrong. The ONEstep is a second option for the original problem... tires rocking from movement. Both products are designed to put opposing pressure on the tires, reducing the rocking back and forth of the tires.
Love the absolute declarations with only anecdotal stories to support the argument - either
my way or the highway. Too funny. :W
While I haven't tried the OneStep myself I
have for many used used BAL Standard Tire Locking Chocks that serve the
same purpose as the OneStep - to chock the trailer and prevent it from inadvertently rolling away ... only the means of adjusting them are different, the end result is the same. To minimize the camper wiggling on it's suspension when walking around inside my wife insists I add a set of BAL X-Chocks as well. ;)
Unfortunately the axle spread on our current Coachmen is too narrow to accommodate a set of BAL Standard Tire Locking Chocks even when dialed down to their shortest length so with this trailer I instead use a set of rubber chocks secured with hardwood spacers to chock the trailer ... while a set of X-Chocks still serve to minimize camper wiggle, not to chock it.
AFAIK the OneStep at it's shortest length would also still be too long to fit between the tires on our Coachmen, otherwise I'd give a set of them a try in lieu of the rubber chocks ... but I'd nonetheless still also use a set of X-Chocks - because my wife says so. :W
