Yachats, OR RV Parking and Things to do

does anyone have any information about RV parking and things to do in Yachats, OR we are going there next month any info would be appreciated, thanks John
  • Wife has a heart problem so can't walk very much. we were up in your country about 4 years ago loved it there rain forrest stayed near Port Angeles
  • Also between Yachats and Waldport is a great USFS cg -- Tillicum Beach. You can walk that beach from Yachats to Waldport! Great place and we will be there right after labor Day ourselves.

Also Cape Perpetua is a USFS cg , not National Park.
  • There is a great camping and RV National Park (I think) Cape Perpetua. NO hookups, but you are right along a nice stream. Don't miss going up the very steep trail to the top of the overlook of the ocean - the best view on the coast.
  • Yachats..as you will have read, is a blip. Cute enough. A couple pubs and a used bookstore. However, the area is loaded with great places to visit, so having Yachats as a base is very cool.

  • we came tru there last year from Bridal Veil Falls to Astoria and down the coast to Reeds Port it was bad weather but still beautiful we came right tru Yachats guess we didn't notice it LOL, still going there next month
  • Well, if you enjoy eating out, check out the Adobe Inn...great food, great view, great service......a little expensive, but worth it. In-between Florence and Yachats is a real nice rv park called Winchester Bay.

We did visit a farmers mkt there last month...don't know if it is a regularly scheduled event or not. Actually, it was more of a swap meet.

As you head north and pass through Newport, wave and say howdy!

  • If you blink you may miss Yachats. We stayed in Floence near the beach then up to Lincoln City and Tillamook. Beautiful area up the coast. We were there in June. Good road up the coast. I thought groceries were very expensive along the OR coast.
