Yelp no longer a reliable source of information

We have used Yelp for the past several years to try to find hotels and restaurants on our travels. Unfortunately they now filter out any negative reviews so there are no longer a good source for this ...

It can work the opposite and reviews can be padded with good reviews. We have a local news paper that has the "best of" businesses that people send in reviews. Most of the winners I wouldn't step a foot in.
