Yeti coolers?

Are they worth the high price? I have a 20 year old Coleman Extreme that holds ice for 5+ days in high 80s and 90s.
  • pretty subjective.

If you want the best cooler you can get and don't mind the price, yes they are worth it.

If you don't mind buying ice more often and are cheap like me then you can just keep dreaming of them. They are relatively small inside compared to outside dimensions also.

  • Watch the videos on youtube. You can get other brands that are better for less than half the price.

And they only keep ice longer if you keep them closed. If a bunch of kids open the cooler 20 times a day they dont work any better than a cheap one.
  • I guess that if you need to keep things cold they are. You can read the reviews to get a good idea. I love mine for ATV'ing around in the desert.
  • I personally don't have one, like you I have an old Coleman Extreme that works just fine. Another deciding factor is the weight. I can easily carry my loaded down coleman full of ice and drinks. Good luck carrying the same size yeti that has the equal amount of ice and drinks any distance or by yourself. Just my opinion.
