Gas prices and the economy are taking their toll on campers here in western Idaho. The SP camp grounds on the lake are normally close to ½ full by noon on Friday of Memorial Day weekend, but there were only 3 campers in over 100 sites this afternoon. I really doubt that they will fill up this weekend.
As far as scary rigs, if they tried pulling that trailer with a F150 up through the canyon, they would probably not get here. Most of the inadequate rigs never get very far up the road towards us. If the road does not get them, Vic our resident ISP female Rottweiler will get them.....:B
Hey Texan! Could've been the unusually cool weather this time of year. We were up at Torrey's off the Salmon River and coming back through Stanley, there were quite a few campers in the campgrounds but even more boondocking in various places along HWY 21 and the Banks Lowman Highway. A lot of boondockers also up off the meadows in the Cape Horn area. We always camp with hookups this early in the season because of the cold weather.
