We have a bypass highway around town that use to be a 4 lane with some traffic lights at cross roads. It was reconstructed with these type intersections, now a 6 and 8 lane and it takes twice as long to get through. Nothing but constant stops and long lights. It seemed to be designed by a drunk traffic engineer.

I avoid using it whenever possible although it is a drag racers dream with stop lights every 1/2 mile.
