There just is no perfect when it’s the imperfect human race that uses these intersections… there are only better forms of imperfect systems, that serve to reduce risk caused by those humans that shouldn’t be driving in the first place…
They were there before the revisions, most likely causing the need for them, and they are still there after the revision constantly trying to defeat whatever system in in place at the time…
