Love the pictures.
Been to 7 National Parks and 5 National Monuments in the last couple months. I am a huge fan of the parks and I mean this in no way to disparage or discredit them but I've been struck by the locations and how they came about....
It's interesting that we in the modern world find so much value to these places but for the most part, these are places the pioneers saw as worthless land and that's much of the reason why most of these places still exist relatively untouched. Canyons, deserts, mountains, swamps, etc...all worthless or even a hindrance to the pioneer (possibly with an exception for mining).
Again, I don't mean this in a bad way just an odd thing that struck me.
