Zero G hose for drinking water?

We had a raccoon chew through our hose in Hunting Island. Was desperate, so went to Lowe's and this was the only drinking water safe hose they had. We have been using it ever since, about 5 months. Water tastes the same and we aren't dead yet (5 months so far) so we continue to use it. We don't worry about putting it away wet; it lies coiled in our wetbay and dries quickly. For those that think, "euw, yuck!" Our wet bay has two compartments - the sewer side and the fresh side - separated by a wall. All in all, we like it, and the raccoons didn't seem to care to chew through it like the white hose we had before.

I've never had one of those last more than 6 months before turning in to a soaker hose. They are handy and compact, but if you step on one on gravel, it will leak. They are not repairable, either.

Nothing wrong with cutting it in half and installing new fittings to get two 25' hoses.

We recently purchased one of the Zero G hoses at Camping world when our other hose went bad. Was surprised at the ease and store ability of it. Like it enough to I will be buying another if needed.

Been drinking out of the garden hose for over 70 years. :)

My understanding of the white "drinking water" hoses is that they will not give that rubber hose flavor to water (or at least, a reduced amount). The inside of the white hoses is white, not black like a typical garden hose. Pretty much all hoses are drinking water safe in general.

My only concern would be that one reviewer states that the fabric covering gets wet and takes time to dry. So, I'd be concerned about the hose being wet and then storing it when breaking camp. With a traditional hose, I can use a paper towel and dry the hose as I coil it.

I would also prefer to have two 25' hoses as most of the time, a 25' hose is all that is needed (or even shorter).
