Well I ran a 9180 with wizard on a true 1,000.. I thought he said 2000 though. If all he has is a 1000. then a 9240 or 45.
Went back, re-read O/P.. Yup, it's a 1,000, so the 9245 is the way to go, that will not overload a 1000 and it will do a very good job of charging the batteries.
As someone said, replace the on-board converter's guts with teh 9245.. Or you can use it as an "External" converter.
Heck, it can even help jump start cars.. Just hook it up for like 5-10 mintues and a car with dead battery may well be ready to run.
