10 Gal hot water heater.

Hi
I hope you folks can help out. My 10 hot water heater on propane won't shut off. I Think.
How long does it take to heat 10 gals of water? After 30 mins I roll it to elec. Could it be a failed switch or something on propane? Any help is welcome!

    An OLD, badly scaled heater can take upwards of AN HOUR depending on the outside temperature. Keep trying the hot water tap to sample the water. It'll tell you if things are getting out-of-hand. Good Luck!
