Hi All,
Has anyone used one of these?

I'm considering upgrading to four 360 watt panels. I don't wish to replace my (expensive) 12 volt 3000 watt hybrid inverter charger.
I haven't used that one, but I do have the renogy 60 amp and I know they make a 100amp. Im happy with the renogy so far.
Steve - BFL13Explorer III like my Tracer MPPT and also liked my EPSolar PWM in a previous set-up.
I see the newer panels have 12 busbars for higher efficiency, eg

Not being an electrical whiz, I went with Renogy. Price wasn't that much more, and the difference in tech support was the selling point. Reviews on the different sizes had more complaints about tech support/customer service with the Epever units.
- HoustedExplorer IIII have been using an 80 amp unit for several years and it works just fine.
I have the remote and it serves to show the SOC of the batteries.

Hi BFL13,
I'm looking at these poly cells as they are shade tolerant.
https://microgreen.ca/downloads/solar-panel-360w-REC-datasheet.pdf Cost is $300 for a 360 watt panel.
They are smaller, lighter, and produce more watts than the Q-cells.
If I buy four I am hoping I won't need a rack on the roof. I'll go flat fixed again.
I'll also go series parallel again to boost the possible charging times, while reducing wire size. - Can you set the voltage and absorption time?
IIRC some of these have presets but the manual setting are not active until epever updates the software some time in the future. If the presets are fine then good to go. - pianotunaNomad IIItime2roll,
There is a user set for voltage and the like. It is also available with a temperature sensor for the battery bank--or you can allow it to use the internal sensor.

Hi Housted,
Just checking--is your battery bank 12 volt? pianotuna wrote:
I know what the manual says. And I know I tried to help a person that said the "user" section was not available in the settings.
