BFL, yeah, I dunno. It was at or above 6.00A every time I checked other than the first and last hour or so. Resulting in 9+ hours, 54+Ah. The sky was cloudless. Must be this pure AZ sun. :) Oh, there is some pollution haze you can see when looking at the hills. Maybe that acts like cloud edge??
I only moved them several times because I could. :) But I think you are right that 3 moves would be just fine. That's how I did it back home in IL when I first tested the setup. Maybe 4 times, if horizons are low enough.
At 0930, it is at 5.84A at 14.52v. I am going to get the batts topped off today. Hooray!
I would be suspicious of your amp readings being a tad high. If you have a regular multimeter, since the amps are under the 10a limit, you could disconnect the panel from the controller and just measure its Isc across the two wires.
Compare those amps with whatever you have been getting the other way once connected back up as quickly as you can so conditions are the same as possible. Has to be with no clouds going by all the time messing up the amps readings.
If you get 6.0 for Isc and then get 6.5 the other way, then you'll know.
