100w portable solar report

Yesterday March 8 we had full sun here at Roosevelt Lake, AZ.
My two Group 27 batteries read 12.52v at the start of the day, measured at the batteries with the Turnigy WattMeter. I used it to collect the day's data.

9+ hours of charging = 54+ AH
Peak amps 6.92. Peak watts 92.x.
I moved the panels as needed. Probably 5 or 6 times. They are at a 45 degree tilt.

The panels specs (x2):

Module Type Pm(Wp)±5% Vmpp(V) Impp(A) Voc(V) Isc(A) Module size NET(kg)
MLS-A1-50 50W 18.0V 2.78A 22.3V 3.03A 590 X 665 X 35mm
23 X 26X 1.8 In 10LBS

Controller is a 2nd generation Morningstar Sunsaver PWM. It does not have a float mode. As far as I could tell, it was in bulk mode all day. This morning we start out with 12.71v at the batteries, so I ought to get past bulk pretty quickly!
  • Nice report, it sounds like you and your batteries will like having solar.

    Does it have absorb?
  • Nice report. Thanks. I just put together a 200W system. Can't wait to try it out.
