110VAC RV Circuit Breakers

The 110VAC circuit breakers look different than the ones in my home and available at the local hardware.

What are they and are they only avail online or at the local RV supply place?

Need a 15-20a one. The WFCO box has room for a couple more.

There are at least a dozen different sizes and shapes (Physical size not current) of circuit breakers from Square-D to Push-Matic..Lowes, Home Depot, Electrical stores and many hardware stores carry a very wide assortment of them.

Take one of your breakers (the bad one if possible) to the store, Odds are they have a match.

The ones in our IOTA box are Cutler-Hammer. They look almost like Siemens. Home Depot had both, but not in the 20/30 I needed for our A/C+Main. Went to electric supply store. Too expensive there, but we were "down."
  • Do you mean a two pole 15/20 amp breaker? I had a 15/20 go bad. Could not find one any where in a store. I found 15/15 and 20/20. But no store had a 15/20. Did a quick search on line and quickly found a source and ordered one.

I had my surprise when I ordered my WFCO Power Distribution Panel. It came BLANK as can be haha... Didn't read the fine print about providing your own breakers.

I was able to get the exact called out ones from LOWES...

The breakers look like the Eaton BR breakers I got for my RV at Lowes. Not sure you can find them in Canada.

Thanks. That's it. Eaton Type BR 20amp. Available at Lowes in Canada. Will get one tomorrow.

YOu guys are great ... and really, really fast!
  • I believe almost all RV breakers are the standard 1" thick residential breakers. Could be exceptions I suppose. Maybe the ones in your home are the less-used variety? For example, Square D has the more common Homeline breakers and the less common QO breakers. Similarly, Cutler Hammer Eaton has the common size BR breakers as well as proprietary CH breakers. The documentation for my WFCO panel has a list of suitable breakers, and they are the common 1" versions.
  • Get the nameplate information from your circuit
    breaker panel.......manufacturer, catalog or model
number, etc. Then call you local electrical supply
house and ask. They probably have the breaker, or
can tell you where to get it.....you have to select
    the Amperage rating.
  • Does your rig have a "main", if so, turn it off (or unplug the rig), and remove one of your breakers and take it to an electrical store (NOT a big-box store). I will bet you they can ID the variety/brand/maker and duplicate it.
