A19 LED bulbs are 50 cents Canadian on sale - about what 40 cents American?
Umm, try $1.50 per 120V LED bulb and that gets you a 9W draw or about 40W incadescent equivalent brightness.
In the Great White North they practically give them away so there's no excuse not to switch out dirty incandescents.
My electric co gave away four 13W CFLs and two 23W CFLs a few years ago then UPPED the service charges because of a stupid Gov "program" move that required the utilities to hand the bulbs out..
Yeah, they were cheap junk made bulbs which lasted less than one year..
What Canada does, has NO EFFECT on what US states do, LED bulbs are not free or subsidized in the US so no use trying to compare Canada LED prices to US LED bulb prices..
Canada taxes everything at very high tax rates in order to pretend to give away things like light bulbs and Healthcare.. Food, shelter and other essentials, not so much.
At least for now US has not totally followed Canada and hopefully will never fully do so.. The US can still THINK on their own without the need of other countries butting in..
