While they are legislating on a light bulb someone wants to build a 200 or 400 or even 1200 sq ft dwelling they say NOPE. Code says minimum sq ft is 2500 or 1200 or 600 or whatever. Why do people care or think it's any of their dang business if someone wants to live in something different? If it isn't insanity what is it.
People on here and other RV sites who live for weeks or full time in a 200 sq ft RV or less balk at someone who wants a tiny house. A tiny house that is built just like a stick built house with 2x4's, romex, blue plastic electrical boxes and an actual national electrical code panel and R13 walls and R40 ceiling!! Not in my back yard, now leave me alone, I have to go to my tree hugger meeting.
Lets do an in depth study of what people really need to sustain their life and develop a maximum building sq ft standard. Oops cant do that because the tax is based on sq footage. Not only are excessively large dwellings encouraged, they are glorified by the media with article about worlds largest house or worlds most expensive house.
Lets do a study of all these personalities who are big green necks and see how many homes and how much sq ft they have. Yes yachts are to be included. But but they earned their money and they are free to buy what they want. Oh but Joe isn't allowed to build a 400 sq which meets all safety code. Oh wait, he can but only out in that certain part of Egypt.
