120 volt cigarette lighter size outlet

I tried Amazon but I think my search parameters are wrong. I have a PSW inverter in the center console of my Suburban. I would like to run a short extension cord and mount an outlet in the rear of the console so the kids can then plug in to 120v. I'm envisioning something very similar to the link, only 120v instead of 12v.

Has anybody ever seen one, do they even exist? I'm thinking it needs to screw in rather than snap in since the walls are curved not flat.

  • Thanks I might have to see about carefully trimming out a square hole in the console.

The kids are 14 to 21 so I'm not too concerned about the outlet. We have taken road trips for years with a 6 outlet power strip plugged into an inverter. But this causes me to have the power strip cable laying somewhere across the center console area. I've been thinking about this for years. I originally was going to run a conduit and standard household outlets in a box. But I was hoping to find something a bet more refined looking than that.
  • Here you go.

Dang it can't make a clicky.
  • Pumping 120 back to the kids without a traditional wall plug might be unwise. Their ages are?

Thanks for taking a shot at it, I just found what yo linked as well. I may need a short cord like that when this is all said and done. But I'm hoping to find a 120v outlet that will permanently mount in the center console.

The snap in might be where I'll have to go. But I would really like to find a round one that I can just drill a hole to mount.

Probably the only way to do it round would be to use a bulb socket on the inside and ‘this screwed in if you do not need a grounded outlet:
