120v Feedback from Appliance to Inverter?

I can see where a heavy inductive load like an air conditioner upon start up would cause a brief voltage sag along with a current inrush, but a programmable inverter should sense these conditions and correct the voltage accordingly assuming there was no cabling bottlenecks between the battery and inverter...

On the other hand, AGM’s respond a bit quicker that conventional wet cells...

Yes that blasted robot thing is a huge problem. You do up a long reply with some research to it and then you can't see the right number of busses or whatever and it keeps asking for more things and never lets you through. I so hate that friggen thing. You never know when it will pounce either. With me it seems to strike in the afternoons but not in the mornings. Phooey!

I had a long reply for you typed up but Marcus deleted it with his blasted Captcha nonsense. In frustration, I didn't feel like retyping it as DrewE's post mostly mirrored my thoughts.

Electrical devices that share a common connection are going to both produce and receive interference from each other to some small degree. It's a bigger issue with switching power supplies, because of how they operate, taking small bites out of the AC supply to charge and discharge capacitors and inductors to produce a different output voltage.

Will that interference cause an issue? Not likely. The pitch change I hear in my small fan motors, it's not imaginary, but it's not significant enough that I want to get my oscilloscope out to see what if anything I can see on the AC waveform.

While not a signal, I think power factor is the largest issue that would affect an RV inverter system, other than a damaged appliance containing a bad motor or capacitor.

Weird loads can induce harmonics but any harmonic great enough to actually affect an inverter's output waveform is beyond any RV consumer interest. Transistors can resonate audible noise. No biggie -- turn the volume up...

Though I can see where a poor PF digital power circuit could draw more load
And depending on the inverter design and size you might hear a load change
Like you do with a generator when using difference appliances
But that is not a feed back into the inverter

With any modern electronics, there is the possibly of design error and sensitivity to stray RF signals
That might be radiated from nearby appliances or electronics
Or some unknown source

Appliances don't send feedback to inverters
Now say you ran a drill with a bad commutator with one shorted winding
Then that would have a load spike every revolution
They may or may not affect a particular inverter depending on size etc..
But no Appliancee is going to send any signal back the ac line into the inverter

Piano.. Same for my Prosine 2.0. Which is why I disable it.
