A sincere thanks to each of for taking the time to read my posting and for providing you valuable and much appreciated advice.
I'm going to purchase the Progressive Dynamics PD9245 converter, which is the 45 amp version. I'm also going to order the optional Pendant which provides the ability to manually perform a boost charge. Both items will be ordered through Amazon since they seem to have the best price and if for some reason I'm not satisfied the return policy is very simple.
Tonight I'm going to unplug the converter and run off the 2 12 volt batteries till tomorrow afternoon. Then I plug in the converter to charge the batteries and then unplug again. By this time next week I'll be in Florida and then I'll install the new Progressive Dynamics. I'll order th e new one so its waiting for me when I arrive.
Thanks again to all of you for your quick replies.
