The new Progressive Dynamics 9245 45 amp converter was delivered on Sunday. Now the problem is.....we are still in Myrtle Beach and will be here until at least tomorrow due to the pending severe weather. We had planned to leave this morning and head south for a one night stay in Darien, Georgia and then reach our final destination in Umatilla, FL on Wednesday. But this morning we woke up to strong winds, sideways rain and forecast for possible severe thunder storms. So, not being in any hurry we will stay another day or two at Myrtle Beach and let the weather pass by.
I have only been keeping the converter plugged in for about 3 hours each day to minimize any possible damage caused by the 15+ volts output. When the converter is unplugged I have monitored the batteries voltage and it has not dropped below 12.4 volts.
So I think all will be OK till the replacement converter is installed.
Oh....I neglected to mention I had the new converter delivered to our final destination in Florida so I will not have access to it till Thursday or Friday of this week.
