Thanks for the offer to help with the installation of the new converter. At this point I'm 210 miles south of you in Umatilla, FL.
Earlier today I unpacked the new Progressive Dynamics PD 9245 unit and did the removal of the 18 year old unit and installed the new. The job from start to finish took 90 minutes. I was able to reuse the existing wiring so the job went smoothly.
The new converter is about 1/5 the size of the old converter and only weighs 5 pounds compared to 25 pounds for the old unit. So far this has been a nice change.
