I usually don't participate in these threads but that's not always the case. True, using an inverter does draw more power from the batteries than going straight to the batteries but if your 26" LCD TV draws 2.2A through an inverter and 2A without, who cares? That 28" Insignia draws a whopping 48W! Going direct is still drawing 4.8A DC. It's inefficient whether going through an inverter or going direct. If the whole point is about saving power then get TV's that save power. Example: Vizio's 28" draws 25.8W. If it's anything like my Vizio, that's just the startup draw. My 26" Vizio draws 20-24W. Listed draw was 30W but that was just at startup, it dropped quickly after that. Flame away!
