I agree, for those where the weight and footprint of a generator are not a concern, then yes, your suggestion would make perfect sense. However, gotta say, there are some folks who would consider it a bargain to pay $250-$300 to cut the weight of their generator in half. That's more or less what you're accomplishing by using a Micro Air Easy Start in some situations (3k inverter generator ~100 lbs. vs. 2k inverter generator ~50 lbs.). Also, for those folks who use an in-bed camper, tow with a car or suv, or are simply challenged physically, a smaller, lighter weight generator (compliments of a MAES unit) can potentially make the entire camping experience much more enjoyable.
