yes, you can by pass the oil pressure sending unit.
It should have three wires. The grey wire goes to the pump, the organge wire comes from the fuse.
Two ways
1) Disconnect the connector, jumper between the grey and orange wire. I would verify that the orange wire has 12 volts positve power. If not then the fuse could be blown. The orange wire is common power to the fuel pump relay. I prefer this method as it guarantees the wires are good.
2) Run a temporary wire from the battery to the orange wire.
