You might want a lower gear ratio in the back, but for now down shift. That 7.3 is almost bullet proof. One tough engine. I have a 2002 and it does a good job but on a steep hill I have to down shift and my rear end is a 3.73. If I did a lot of towing in hill country & would change the rear end to a 4.11. Love my 7.3. :)
