Like Westend, I was thinking "Check the Fuel Lines." I've seen them cracked, seen them come off, seen them broken but still in place and looking OK.
Also saw a ceramic in-tank fuel filter that got varnished over. Looked OK but wouldn't flow fuel.
The tank filters I usually clean with a spray can of cleaner.
