2000 Watt Invertor Issues, Need Help

My 2000 watt Prosine invertor works fine on small loads like TV, computer, etc, but when I fire up my LG 1000 watt micro wave/convection oven the invertor kicks off after 8 seconds, my batteries are new with lots of amp hrs and solar panel, but why is the 2000 watt invertor not running a 1000 watt micro wave..

Anyone know why I am having problems or is invertor going bad.

  • 2 is bare minimum. You need 4. Is this a new problem? Your panel should show your voltage @ 8 seconds when it quits.

Also, the Prosine panel has an error log, which clearly tells you what's wrong. Got owner's manual?
  • Was looking around on the net and some said I might need a bigger battery bank, I have 2 12 volt group 31"s AGM RV/Marine batts, 100 amp hr Duracell brand, I would think these would be big enough, right.
  • The cables are not under sized, they are very thick, thicker than most battery cables in cars, not sure what gauge but at least 2 ga or thicker.

    Cables say 1/0 on them
  • Look at the input voltage at the inverter under load. Undersized cable is pretty common.
